Husband Mountain (相公山) in Yangshuo is probably the best lookout for scenery of all time, and it's also one of my favorite places, highly recommended. It's about 1 hour away from Yangshuo downtown. The reason why it's called Husband Mountain is that it looks like an old man waiting by Li River for his long lost wife to return to his side. Husband Mountain itself is not so much fun to see, but on top of Husband Mountain, there's a few lookout areas for tourists and photographers, the scenery from the top is the reason why people look to come.

The entrance of the Husband Mountain is built halfway to the top, which is accessible by car, but from the entrance to the top requires 10 minutes or so physical hiking, normally, everybody can do it.
It's open to tourists anytime of the day at an entrance fee of 60 Yuan/person. Sunrise view is better than sunset in Husband Mountain because the direction where sun rises is wide open and faces the mountains and Li River, while the sun sets behind a huge rock and you won't get much view from it. Tips for photographers who want to take nice shots at the top of Husband Mountain is get there early in the morning to take pictures of sunrise.
