Been put in use in the year of 2016, Jan 4th, Yangshuo high speed train AKA bullet train station (阳朔高铁站 Yangshuo Gaotie Zhan) has been a milestone to Yangshuo and Guilin tourism, both locals and tourists benefit from it. Situates 50 minutes away from Yangshuo downtown, brings hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over. The train line is called Gui-Guang High Speed Train, starting from Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province in the east, ending in Gui Yang, capital of Guizhou Province in the west, stretching 857 Kilometers with a few stops along the way, Yangshuo is one of them about half way in between, all the other stops are tourism destinations as well. Now, it only takes about 2.5 hours to come from Guangzhou, and 3 hours from Shenzhen to Yangshuo, the time and distance have been shortened a lot. And it' s said to be the most beautiful stretch of all the high speed train lines in China.
Building high speed train in mountain area is not easy, very often, you get to see bridges in between 2 mountains with tunnels on both ends.
