Fun Sam China

A hidden gem in the southern part of China near Yangshuo,  Huangyao Ancient Town is over 400 years old with More than 600 families living in the town. The reason why it's called Huangyao is that the residents in the town are mostly named Huang and Yao ( Chinese family names). You may find that place a bit familiar if you have seen the movie 'The Painted Veil' which has many scenes from that town and that area.

Because this town has been isolated from outside world for a really long time and it only has been opened up for tourists in recent years, the authentic touches can be found everywhere in the ancient town.

Tips: 2.5 hour drive away, better to make it a one-day trip, no need to spend a night there.
