The Li River is one of the cleanest rivers in China. It flows from north to south through Guilin, Yangdi, Xingping, and Yangshuo, then to Fuli, Liugong. This is the biggest river in Guilin and Yangshuo area. Along the Li River, mountain peaks rise into the sky. It is also one of China's most famous scenic areas, featured in many scroll paintings.

Under the rules of Yangshuo local government, tourists can only take big cruises or motorized-rafts on certain routes on the Li River.

 

Big Cruise Routes are:

• Guilin to Yangshuo (too expensive, too long, not recommended)

• Xingping to Yucan then back to Xingping (Recommended)

Small Motorized-raft Routes are:

• Xingping to Yangdi (a bit too long and a bit expensive)

• Xingping to Nine Horse Fresco and then back to Xingping (Recommended)

• Yangshuo to Fuli and then Back to Yangshuo (Recommended)

 

Choosing one of the routes to fit your schedule should be good enough, not necessary to try every route.
